Empty the mind. Hear the heart over the applause. Be there.
Bring your joy, center energy. Potent. Hilarity. Unleash.
Belly laughter is the orgasm of the soul.
It’s a let-go. Trust. Your. Funny.
You’re killing when you’re enjoying yourself so much that - you disappear!
Admire other comedians styles and abilities (no matter how insecure it makes you feel!)
Good Stand-Ups are like a Wu-Tang Clan of masters; all different approaches along each individual journey. Never arriving, always evolving.
Don’t hold back out of fear. Show warts and all. Be vulnerable.
You know you’re in a good state of mind when you can eat a plate of ribs not long before going up (on stage). Bonus: A great crap too, right before your name’s called!
Prepare and know your set so well, you forget it.
The balance of riding a bike or sailing a boat. Not too tight, not too loose. Give every emotion, show attitude, exude point of view, all while not forcing. Balance, Daniel-San.
